He is also a member of the Nikon Professional Users Scheme, a member of the Nature Photographers Network and a full member of the National Union of Journalists.

As a freelance photographer he deals with subjects from press and publicity work, aviation photography including military and civil aircraft, landscape photographs and wildlife photography including birds, insects and mammals.

As well as photography Jonathan is also a professional ecologist and wildlife consultant and has worked on many protected species projects including bats, birds and reptiles in the UK and is passionate about wildlife protection and uses his work to highlight environmental issues and conservation.
